Take tea time up a notch with a kid-friendly and family-favourite tea time treat – Banana Bread!
Hint: Don’t stress about mess, use our foil loaf pan to bake your bread!
Ingredients
125g butter
1 cup castor sugar
2 cups flour
2 eggs
3 large bananas
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp baking powder
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
2. Put butter and sugar in a bowl and mix till creamy, then add eggs one at a time and beat well.
3. Mash bananas and add vanilla essence. Mix into dry ingredients.
4. Pour mixture into a Hulett’s foil loaf pan. Cut a banana in half lengthways and lay it on top of the mixture. Bake for 45 minutes.
5. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
