As a mom, it can be easy to get caught up in taking care of your family and forget to take time for yourself. That’s why we came up with our 30-day ‘Mommin’ like a Boss’ challenge: 30 simple things you can do for yourself to help you find your total confidence.

  • Day 1: Use Twinsaver paper plates, because why spend your days and nights washing dishes?
  • Day 2: Connect with a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while and make plans to hang out.
  • Day 3: Reach out to another mom to seek parenting advice.
  • Day 4: Find a recipe for a meal you’ve always wanted to try and give it a go.
  • Day 5: Go on a picnic. Twinsaver wax wrap will keep your food fresh, and paper cups, plates and serviettes mean very little clean-up.
  • Day 6: Take some time just for yourself. Go for a walk, take a bubble bath, watch a movie.
  • Day 7: Sign up for an online class. Almost anything is available online these days.
  • Day 8: Do something small for someone else – a random act of kindness.
  • Day 9: Express your creativity! There are plenty of crafty ways to use household items like paper plates to spruce up a room.
  • Day 10: Do something that scares you. There’s no better way to build your self-confidence than to face your fears.
  • Day 11: Contact someone you care about and tell them why they’re important to you.
  • Day 12: Instead of throwing food scraps away, use them to make compost for your garden.
  • Day 13: Start recycling. Separate your paper plates, cups and serviettes from your other rubbish and mark them for recycling.

  • Day 15: Pick up a hobby. Try something new you have always wanted to do.
  • Day 16: Take some time away from the rush. Turn off your TV, step away from social media and relax.
  • Day 17: Not a morning person? Make lunch the night before. Twinsaver wax wrap and multi-plastic bags will keep food fresh, and you’ll have a few extra minutes in the morning.
  • Day 18: Try out a new exercise – start a class, join a boot camp, or just find ideas online.
  • Day 19: Find and visit a food market in your area.

  • Day 22: Organise a “girls’ night” for you and some friends. Stay in or go out, just spend some time relaxing.
  • Day 23: Take a walk in your garden or around the block. Spend some time outside in the sun and build up your vitamin D.
  • Day 24: Take 10 minutes to be still. Meditate, think of what you’re grateful for, or just close your eyes and enjoy where you are.
  • Day 25: Send the kids over to a friend – or wait until they’re asleep – and treat yourself to a “chick flick”. Don’t forget the tissues!
  • Day 26: Watch a documentary on something that interests you.
  • Day 27: Broaden your skills. There are all sorts of “how to” videos on YouTube and other sites that can help you learn new skills or improve the ones you have.
